Welcome to The PUPPIES Class!

Our Threes program is a continuation of the building blocks obtained in our Two’s program.  Children will learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning experiences.  They become experts in daily routines and classroom rules that help to keep everyone safe.  Learning to line up to prepare to move from one place to another is a learned skill and can sometimes be a challenge for little ones who are accustomed to moving about freely. This may be their first experience with a structured program where play is the heart and center of the classroom day.  Bible lessons, calendar, weather, math, science and early literacy skills are integrated daily. Children learn through song Bible Stories at our weekly Chapel service. Due to limited space in our Chapel, parents are invited on a rotating basis and encouraged to attend with their child’s class. Gaining independence is also an important part of our three’s program.  Opening our lunches and conversing with friends at a shared table are enriching experiences that further enhance their verbal communication and social skills. Every child is made in the image of God and here at Southside Methodist Church Preschool, the Preschool on the Point, we capture and build upon the individuality and uniqueness of each child.
